Chris Beeson

Hi welcome to the alternative show on Tuesday evening with Chris and Maureen Beeson for four hours of great music.

Between six and eight there is music where the pop world meets the movie world as well as TV themes and TV ads also there is music from the shows. From about ten past seven for about twenty five to thirty minutes there is the real rock and roll spot including Buddy Holly. After eight I am joined by my co presenter Maureen who has been round the wards collecting requests for the show that is Just 4U.  As well as patients requests we have three special features which include the country slot, swing time slot and the classical slot until  10pm.

Here are there answers to the quick fire round......

What's your favourite music genre and name some of your favourite artists and songs?

My favourite music genre is Rock and Roll,my favourite artists include Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochrane, Jerry Lee Lewis and early Elvis Presley also I like Country and Western my favourite artist is Don Williams and as for present music my favourite artist is Enya.

My favourite songs are Peggy Sue, Three Steps to Heaven, Whole lotta Shakin' and the American Trilogy, also Storms in Africa.

Who would be your dream person to interview, why and what would you ask them?

My dream person to interview would be Enya because of the diversity in music that she has produced, and I would like to ask her where she gets her inspirations for her music from.

What's the highlight of your show and do you have any forthcoming new bits planned you'd like to tell the listeners about?

The highlight is to be able to entertain the patients and be able to play the music they want to hear, and at the moment we do not have any new features in the pipeline. When can we tune into your show? You can tune into the Tuesday show from 8.00pm to 10.00pm and you can tune into the Friday show from 10.00am to 12.00 noon.
As a long term patient in hospital in the past I can appreciate the wonderful work that the volunteers do in order to entertain patients, and I wish to give some of this back to Apple am
