Vivienne Cornfoot (Presenter)

When I retired after 42 years as a Civil Servant in 2004, one of my ambitions was to do Hospital Radio. I took myself along to Chippenham Hospital Radio where they trained me and I became a presenter. It is obviously in my blood because when we moved to Exeter I went knocking on the door of Hospital Radio Exeter in the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and was a presenter there for three years. We moved to Minehead recently and I am now a presenter at Apple AM in Taunton Musgrove Park Hospital. It is a marvellous hobby to have. Listening to music is so relaxing and uplifting. I hope the patients in the Hospital enjoy listening to my programme as much as I enjoy presenting it to them and that it adds a little bit of brightness to their day.

At Hospital Radio Exeter I took over a programme from someone who only played female artists and I have continued to do the same on Apple AM. I present a programme called ’Female Favourites‘ every Wednesday from 12 to 2pm.
