Hi I am Chris Young and I present the Chris Young Show each Friday between 4-6pm.

It was a beautiful morning in late September........ the exact date is a mystery, after many years at the age of 9 in his bedroom, Chris finally had his own Radio 1, Chris made his own disco and played to all the kids as they came home from school. Chris then went on to Djing all over the UK, France, Germany, and the USA. In 2000 Chris landed one of the best jobs ever as a Television Presenter for Taunton TV (tv local), doing his own live music show six nights a week. In 2003 Chris joined Apple for the launch date, for 5 years now Chris has been doing a 2 hour show every Friday on Apple am.

Apple Broadcast to the Core of Taunton & Beyond!

Apple AM, Taunton’s first and original hospital radio station has been granted a Community License by Ofcom.

It marks the end of a year long wait from submitting their application and Apple’s 43 strong team of volunteer presenters and associated members can at last breathe a welcome sigh of relief.

Chris Beeson fondly remembered

Today everyone at Apple AM was sad to learn of the passing of Chris Beeson, a hospital radio presenter remembered with great affection. He died following a long spell of ill health.

Chris presented 'Just For You with Chris and Maureen Beeson', his lovely wife, from 8pm until 10pm on Tuesday evenings and also 'The Alternative Show' from 10am to midday on Fridays.
