Apple Live and Calm at Buddhafield!

By tracey on Jul 11, 2012

Buddhafield Festival, near TauntonPresenters Tracey Wright and Simon West will be reporting live from Somerset's own Buddhafield Festival, quite possibly from a soggy tent overlooking Taunton, somewhere in the Blackdown Hills.

However, the precipitous weather report for the coming days hasn't dampened their spirits and they'll be broadcasting live from the event during JJ's Breakfast Show on Wednesday 11th, Thursday 12th and Friday 13th at around 8.40am.

The rich programme of workshops at this zero drink and drugs festival, run for 12 hours each day in 5 different venues and include movement, dance, music, sound and singing, Shamanic myth and therapy, live arts, theatre and play.

There are also dedicated areas for exploring permaculture and the land, social change, yoga and martial arts to name but a few and members of the LGBT community will be made to feel very welcome at the festival and most especially in the Queer Dome.

This week, Tracey and Simon's popular sustainable living programme, Eco-Matters (6-8pm) will be a Buddhafield Special; they'll be talking about what they've been up to and playing interviews with some of the event's many star attraction musicians, meditation experts and eco-crafts folk.

Tracey is going to turn her hands to Tai-Chi, Simon will definitely be exploring the Chai Chapel and Pachamamas around the fire and they'll both be absorbing what's going on in the Dharma Parlour.  If you've absolutely no idea what any of that means, don't worry, all will be revealed during JJ's Breakfast Show reports and during Eco-Matters and the festival's calming effects will no doubt be felt on their Sunday night show too, Spiritual Matters, which opens the box on many of the religions and belief systems from around the world.
