Olympic Torch Relay

We had a great time following the Olympic Torch through Taunton on 21st May. We had our team on location, throughout the town, reporting back live to the hospital. We also had several team members at the Somerset County Cricket Ground, which is where the torch was heading for evening celebrations. Labrinth and Twist & Pulse performed on stage and Will.I.Am made an appearance after running with the torch through Taunton town centre. We even managed to interview Twist & Pulse and also spoke to Will.I.Am. Listen again to our commentary HERE and see our pictures HERE.

We have three nominations in this year’s HBA Awards. Darren Wood has been nominated for the Best Newcomer Award. Our Golden Delicious show has been nominated for Best Specialist Music Programme and Craig and Jason have been nominated for Best Programme With Multiple Presenters.

Carnival Presentation

Apple FM were very pleased to be named as one of the three beneficiaries of the money raised by the Taunton Carnival 2012. Not only did we take pride of place in the procession itself, we have recently learnt that the donation would be for £2,000.
