Our team of cricket commentators collectively have hundreds of years of cricketing experience.

Not all those years actively playing of course, but our elite team of enthusiasts, who are all mostly "of an age", bring a mature perspective to their commentaries and an attitude to the sport that is sadly lacking at many other radio stations!

2008 marks our 2^nd consecutive season providing patients at Musgrove Park Hospital with a ball-by-ball commentary on every one day match.

To have a permanent home all year round and to be able to commentate on every home game, is a distinct privilege.

To be provided with such amenities free of charge in this commercial world is very much appreciated.

This year, the new county ground takes shape and even at this busy time, the club have kindly managed to provide us with our very own commentary box, which is located on top of the old pavilion right next door to the BBC box and the media centre, which houses the worldwide press reporters.

Apple AM is the only hospital radio service in the county that has the resources, both technical and human, to broadcast live ball-by-ball coverage.

It goes without saying that the enthusiasm of our commentary team is also unique across the county and the organising abilities of Paul Sands, our Head of Sport and the team leader, in mustering up the crew, keeps his home phone very busy during the summer season!
