George Bateman
How long have you been a presenter at Apple?
I have been presenting for over three years now
Do you have any other broadcasting history?
No I have no previous broadcasting experience
Why is it important to you to volunteer time at Apple?
I really enjoy doing the research for my show and deciding the tunes to play, so that it brings those memories back to the patients.
What's your favourite music genre and name some of your favourite artists and songs?
My favourite music is from 1940 to 1960 the days of those old 78s hence the name of the show,with artist like Doris Day and Nat King Cole, my favourite tune is Born Free from the film of the same name sung by Matt Monroe
If you could interview anyone on your show, who would it be, why and what would you ask?
My Favourite personality is Noel Edmond's because he seems interested in all the shows he presents , I actually met him on a trip to See Deal or no Deal being recorded in Bristol.
If you could make any wish come true for the station, what would it be?
I would like the Station to go FM so we can reach a wider audiences
What's the highlight of your show and do you have any forthcoming "new" bits planned you"d like to tell the listeners about?
I like it when listeners ring in with their comments and stories
I have two co presenter Dave Ridgway and Pete Varndell who also get involved in the show
When can we tune into your show?
The show goes out on Thursday evening from 7.00pm ti 8.00pm.
